I hate it when a person does exactly that. Like I have had anytime to compile a question for them. Next time that happens I'm just going to say "Yes, I do have a question. How will you get me out of credit card debt if you are elected?" That should put him in his place! lol

I love it! My friend is like the person you are describing and she thinks it's the end of her life if she can't have the newest phone and a new pair of shoes each week. These are the people who run up credit cards then complain that they don't understand why they are in debt. Personal responsibility seems to not exist in some people at all.

One thing to remember is that many (you say 44%) people do not pay attention to the news or politics in general. They are mainly interested in how a candidate will affect their pocket book or wallet. If we can assure people that we can help them out of debt or to not fall into it then we should have a good foundation to start from.

what the Right needs to do for 2012 (since 2008 didn't work out so well) is to focus on ticket sales for fund raising events, as well as making the events fun. Once you get people talking about how good of time they had at an event, others will begin to show interest. Then the message of the speakers will be spread to more minds.
